"Talking about the death of your pet while they're still alive is equivalent to talking about the death of one of your children, or a very close relative - it's taboo and NOBODY does it or wants to do it. I've been at events where Animals at Heart has had booths and as soon as people find out that I'm a pet loss specialist they don't want to talk to me anymore. People act as though talking about it will make it happen! However, it's just as important to prepare for a pet's death as it is to prepare for a human's. You have to make many of the same decisions, but with added complications such as deciding whether or not to euthanize and trying to cover the costs without the assistance of a life insurance policy. That's why I helped put together the Angel Paw Program and Fund for pet owners......something to help them prepare for the inevitable and provide them support at a time when they'll need it most. If I can help make the loss less traumatic, the pet owner won't have as difficult a time recovering and they'll come out of it being able to look back on their pet's memories with as much love and fondness as they shared with the pet in life. The Animals at Heart Angel Paw Program and Fund is a way for you to plan for your pet's passing, both emotionally and financially, so that when the time comes you can focus on yours and your pet's needs.

•  a memorial on the Animals at Heart website to stay posted for 5 years ($75 value). When the time comes and your pet has passed, you'll have the option of placing a memorial in our online Memorial Gardens for all the world to see your beloved pet.
